Yuki Sohma
Born cursed with the spirit of the Rat haunting him, Yuki had to learn to live cast aside from the world with the other Juunishi. However, his childhood days were filled with being shut away from even them, leaving him alone and helpless.
When he was younger, his mother sold him to Akito, so he could become Akito's playmate. However, in the end, Akito psychologically damaged him, leaving him feeling unwanted and unneeded. There was an incident when he was younger where the children he was playing with found out he was cursed with the spirit of the Rat. Because of this, their memories were modified and he was told to never see them again. He was alone again and felt utterly useless. However, after meeting Tohru, he suddenly felt needed again.
Yuki currently lives with Shigure after being released from the main Sohma house because of his cousin, Hatsuharu. He's not a morning person, so when he gets up he's usually sleep walking at first. He wakes up instantly if something really annoys him. When he was younger, he also trained in martial arts, but because of his ability to pick things up quickly, he's much better at it than Kyo. Incidentally, he's also a much better fighter when he just wakes up.
Because he's so skilled at just about everything he does at school, he has earned the nickname of "Prince Charming" and nearly all the females of his highschool are part of the Prince Yuki fanclub. The girls (and even some of the guys) try to get him to wear girl clothing because of his feminine features, which he has a complex over. However, he's clumsy with his hands, therefore he can't cook or even do simple first aid things like bandaging up an arm. To make things worse, he's terrible with housework.
Yuki does have a secret base, which he keeps a secret from everyone except Tohru. His secret base is actually a small vegetable garden, which he keeps because he wants to know that there is something out there that he can create with his hands. He wants to know that there is something out there that wouldn't exist without him. In that idea alone, he and his brother, Ayame, have something in common.
He becomes the student council president in his second year because he wanted to do something that he normally wouldn't do, as a way to prove himself. Though the student council can be a bit overwhelming, Yuki tries his best.
Some of his favorite foods when he was younger were peaches and crab.
