Story Synopsis
Once upon a time, a young priestess was given the elusive Shikon no Tama to guard. It was a jewel that held many powers and treasured by demons. She soon befriended a half-demon, InuYasha, and came to love him. But the two's happiness would not last. When the priestess was about to present the jewel to InuYasha, he betrayed her, giving her a mortal wound. In her last attempts, she pinned him to a tree where he fell into a deep sleep...
Kagome Higarashi, a normal fifteen-year old girl, is sent back to the feudal era where she finds InuYasha. In an effort to save her life, she accidently awakens him and breaks the jewel in the process. Because of her guilt and because she can spot the jewel shards, Kagome is allowed to go with InuYasha to find the shards.
The truth of InuYasha's past comes to light along their journey, and they find themselves teaming up with a monk and a demon hunter on a journey of revenge and power.
